
The Special Presidential Envoy for Health and Nutrition, Hon. Abdirahman Mohamed Sheikh, participated in the second day of the eye surgery campaign at Banadir Hospital. This initiative, jointly organized by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KS-Relief), Al-Basar International Foundation, and the Federal Ministry of Health, is dedicated to delivering essential eye care services to the Somali population.
The visit was led by the Special Envoy and accompanied by key officials, including the State Minister of Health, Dr. Maryan Mohamed Hussein, and members of parliament, Hon. Nadra Salah Abdi and Hon. Qaladla Ali Awaale. The delegation applauded the efforts of healthcare professionals and collaborating organizations working tirelessly to restore sight and improve patients’ quality of life.
During their tour, the delegation inspected several hospital departments, including outpatient clinics, surgical theaters, and inpatient wards, ensuring high-quality care for patients. They also offered their prayers and well wishes to those undergoing treatment, expressing hope for successful recoveries.
