The Special Presidential Envoy For Health & Nutrition Presided Over the Inauguration of National Blood Bank and Banaadir Dialysis Center

In a pivotal moment for Somalia’s healthcare sector, the Special Presidential Envoy for Health and Nutrition, Hon. Abdirahman Mohamed Sheikh, presided over the inauguration of two transformative projects in Mogadishu: the Banaadir Dialysis Center and the National Blood Bank. These initiatives, funded by KS-Relief, represent significant progress in enhancing healthcare infrastructure and strengthening Somalia’s bilateral ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including Somalia’s Minister of Health, the Minister of Energy & Water Resources, the Saudi Ambassador to Somalia, and a high-level delegation from KS-Relief. Hon. Abdirahman Mohamed Sheikh emphasized the critical impact of these projects, which will provide life-saving kidney treatment and bolster emergency medical response through improved blood banking facilities.

The envoy, highlighted the projects’ role in addressing some of the country’s most pressing healthcare challenges while fostering resilience within the health sector. Also the envoy reiterated the Somali government’s dedication to building partnerships that elevate healthcare services and community welfare. He acknowledged the unwavering support of KS-Relief and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, underscoring the deep-rooted relationship between the two nations.
